About Student Life at CIS

At Copenhagen International School, Student Life is an essential part of our students’ experience. Through sports, creative activities, and community engagement, we aim to inspire curiosity, teamwork, and personal growth beyond the classroom.

Our After School Activities (ASA) and Athletics programmes offer students a wide range of opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and build friendships in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment.

We regularly recruit passionate and reliable individuals to support our programmes as:

  • Sports Coaches (for school teams and clubs)
  • ASA Instructors (creative, academic, or recreational activities)
  • Volunteers or support staff for community events

If you have a background in sports, education, youth work, or creative instruction – and enjoy working with children and young people in an international setting – we would love to hear from you.

General requirements

  • Proven experience working with children or youth (preferably in an educational, coaching, or recreational setting)
  • Good communication skills in English
  • A valid residence and work permit for Denmark
  • A clean criminal record and child certificate (to be provided before employment)
  • At least three professional references from previous employment

Safeguarding and background checks

Employment or engagement with CIS is conditional on passing an extensive background check, including references, criminal, and child certificates.

All instructors, coaches, and volunteers must complete CIS’s mandatory Child Protection Training before beginning their role.

If you have lived outside of Denmark within the past five (5) years, you will also be required to provide criminal and child safeguarding certificates (or the equivalent) from the countries in which you have resided.

Ready to apply?

Please submit your CV and a short motivation letter through this form. We will contact you directly if there is a suitable match for upcoming activities or coaching opportunities.

Our working language is English, and we kindly ask that all applications are submitted in English as PDF files.

Additionally, all candidates will be required to complete child protection safeguarding training and other relevant assessments as part of our commitment to student safety and well-being.
